Quality Assurance and Transparency
To receive MotorTrend Certification, a vehicle must pass a meticulous multi-point inspection conducted by a MotorTrend Certified technician. This inspection looks carefully at nearly every part of the vehicle including the:
- Engine block, cylinder heads, and intake and exhaust manifolds
- Cooling system
- Brake master cylinder
- Battery
- Air cleaner and fuel injectors
- Transmission case
- CV boots
- Struts
- Brakes
- Suspension systems
The technician checks all essential fluid levels and tops them off as needed. If any leaks are detected, the technician will repair them. The technician makes sure that the odometer reading is appropriate to the general condition of the vehicle to help you stay clear of any vehicles that have been tampered with. They also check that the vehicle has the original suspension system with no alterations.
